This Friday, June 12, Pierre Marmignon, President and Co-founder of NestSentinel, will present the company’s vision at the European “IA avec nous” Summit, held at EuraTechnologies, Innovation & Startup Hub, in Lille.
In three minutes, NestSentinel will deliver a simple message: artificial intelligence should not only be discussed in terms of infrastructure, investment, or computing power. It must also become concrete, useful, sovereign, and understandable technology — capable of addressing deeply human needs.

Concrete AI serving a human challenge
The European “IA avec nous” Summit brings together institutional, economic, academic, and technology leaders around one shared ambition: building AI that serves progress, remains accessible, and can be understood and adopted by everyone.
For NestSentinel, this ambition directly echoes the company’s mission: developing an intelligent prevention and risk detection solution for seniors and vulnerable individuals, without video cameras, without bracelets, and without requiring any action from the person being protected.
“NestSentinel was not born from a market study. It was born from a personal question that many families know well: how can we support prevention for someone we love without turning their home into a monitored space?” explains Pierre Marmignon.
Edge AI as a response to sovereignty
The technology developed by NestSentinel is built on an Edge AI architecture: signals collected by the sensors are analyzed locally, as close as possible to the living environment, in order to identify risk situations earlier, such as falls, calls for help, or prolonged immobility.
This approach aims to reduce reliance on the cloud for sensitive processing, preserve the privacy of the people being supported, and strengthen the technological sovereignty of the solution.
Through custom-designed sensor boards, an Edge AI gateway, and local event analysis, NestSentinel defends a strong conviction: the most useful AI is the one that disappears behind the human need it serves.
Prevention without intrusion
In a context marked by population aging, pressure on care teams, and growing expectations around aging in place, NestSentinel aims to contribute to a new generation of prevention technologies: more discreet, more respectful, and more intelligent.
RoomGuardian by NestSentinel is designed to help families, caregivers, and care facilities identify risk situations earlier, while respecting the dignity and privacy of the people being supported.
From the “IA avec nous” Summit to VivaTech 2026
NestSentinel’s participation in the European “IA avec nous” Summit is part of an important sequence for the company.
After this event in Lille, NestSentinel will continue this momentum at VivaTech 2026, where the startup will be present as part of the Hauts-de-France delegation. This will be an opportunity to present its approach, technological progress, and vision for intelligent, non-intrusive, and sovereign prevention more concretely.
On Friday, NestSentinel will present the why. The following week, at VivaTech, the company will show the how.
About NestSentinel
NestSentinel is a French startup developing intelligent prevention and risk detection solutions for seniors and vulnerable individuals.
With RoomGuardian, its device designed for rooms and living spaces, NestSentinel aims to identify falls, calls for help, prolonged immobility, and risk situations earlier — without video cameras, without bracelets, and without requiring any action from the resident.
The solution combines non-intrusive sensors, embedded artificial intelligence, an Edge AI gateway, and a secure platform, with one clear ambition: support prevention without intrusion.
