NestSentinel has been selected for the 2026 edition of the French Impact Start-up Mapping, led by Bpifrance, France Digitale and Mouvement Impact France. The new edition was officially unveiled on October 8 during BIG 2026 at the Accor Arena in Paris.
The mapping highlights French startups whose core activities contribute to addressing major environmental, social and strategic challenges.
For its sixth edition, Bpifrance, France Digitale and Mouvement Impact France once again joined forces to identify and showcase companies developing innovative solutions in areas such as energy transition, climate, sustainable agriculture, social cohesion and demographic change.
For NestSentinel, being included in the 2026 mapping represents a new recognition of its positioning at the intersection of technology, prevention, aging and care.

Technology designed around a demographic challenge
NestSentinel develops RoomGuardian, a non-intrusive risk detection and prevention solution designed for older and vulnerable people.
The system combines several sensing technologies with locally processed AI to identify situations such as falls, distress calls, prolonged immobility and unusual activity patterns, without relying on identifiable video cameras, wearables or action required from the resident.
The objective is not simply to detect incidents after they happen, but to help care teams better understand what is happening in a room and identify situations that may require attention earlier.
This approach is closely aligned with one of the challenges highlighted by the 2026 mapping: demographic transition. Bpifrance, France Digitale and Mouvement Impact France specifically position the mapping as a way to highlight innovative companies addressing major strategic challenges facing France and Europe.
A growing ecosystem of impact-driven startups
The French impact startup ecosystem has expanded significantly in recent years.
In the 2025 edition, 1,261 startups were identified, compared with 1,142 in 2023. Together, they employed around 34,200 people and had raised nearly €10.8 billion since their creation.
The mapping also reflects the diversity of maturity levels within the ecosystem. In 2025, 54% of the companies identified had already reached standardized production and deployment with multiple customers, while 24% were still in a pre-commercialization phase involving real-world demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.
This distinction matters for NestSentinel, whose RoomGuardian solution is currently in pre-production, with industrialization and certification work underway ahead of its first planned pilots in senior living facilities.
A new milestone for NestSentinel
This recognition comes during a particularly active period for NestSentinel.
The company recently joined The Square by EuraTechnologies, a six-month acceleration program, and its founders are currently in California as part of that program, including a three-day bootcamp at Stanford and several days in the San Francisco Bay Area.
At the same time, NestSentinel is preparing the next steps toward the first real-world pilots of RoomGuardian.
Being included in the 2026 French Impact Start-up Mapping therefore adds another external signal around the company’s mission:
using technology to help prevent risks for older and vulnerable people while preserving privacy, dignity and independence.
